Stuff White People Like #62 Knowing what’s best for poor people It is a poorly guarded secret that, deep down, white people believe if given money and education that all poor people would be EXACTLY like them. In fact, the only reason that poor people make the choices they do is because they have not been given the means to make the right choices and care about the right things. A great way to make white people feel good is to tell them about situations where poor people changed how they were doing things because they were given the ‘whiter’ option. “Back in my old town, people used to shop at Wal*Mart and then this non-profit organization came in and set up a special farmers co-op so that we could buy more local produce, and within two weeks the Wal*Mart shut down and we elected our first Democratic representative in 40 years.” White people will first ask which non-profit and are they hiring? After that, they will be filled with euphoria and will invite you to more parties to tell this story to their friends, so that they can feel great. But it is ESSENTIAL that you reassert that poor people do not make decisions based on free will. That news could crush white people and their hope for the future. I particularly like Living by the water, Co-ed Sports, and oh so especially Lawyers. A common characteristic amongst white people is the need to over analyze things, so they partake in activities such as therapy, writing a blog, or becoming an arts major. So its rather obvious why white people love lawyers so much as it is the one profession that has mastered the art of “over analyzing things”. (3 Comments | Comment on this)

Welcome to Tokyo's first schoolboy cafe, the latest in a flurry of eateries in Japan where customers and waiters role play themes from manga comics. In keeping with the schoolboy theme, waiters with manicured hands and soft voices pretend to be teenage students, chatting and flirting with well-dressed Japanese women playing the roles of benefactresses visiting the school. On a Saturday in January, the cafe, which opened late last year, was packed with giggling customers. "Most of our customers are office ladies in their twenties and thirties, women who are fashionable but normal," said Emiko Sakamaki, Edelstein's 27-year-old manager, herself dressed in a loose mini-dress over skinny jeans and knee-high boots. Edelstein is based on one of Sakamaki's favourite comic books, a 1970s cult classic about romance at a German school. Its visitors are united by a passion for such "boy-love manga", or comics about boy-boy romance for female readers -- a genre that is currently undergoing a huge revival in Japan. Most boy-love manga feature dreamy, feminine-looking male characters. The same beauty ideal guides Sakamaki when she selects the waiters who talk about their pretend homework and studies at Edelstein. "I'm in the flower arrangement club," whispers one girlish, long-haired waiter at the cafe, looking up from the book of German poetry he is reading. Turkey Classifying Not Revising Hadith CAIOR [sic] — Eighty scholars from 23 Turkish universities are working on a major project to classify and translate the Hadith (the collection of sayings of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him). "Make no mistake, we are not after modifying or revising the Hadith," Mehmet Gormez, deputy director of the religious affairs authority Diyanet and supervisor of the project, told IslamOnline.net in a phone interview. "What we are actually doing is re-classifying, re-categorizing the Hadith and translating it into Turkish, no more no less." 9:12p	Against all odds, defying the very fates themselves, this movie could rock! Iron Man: Extended Trailer Watch it, feebs, it's worth it! They made the goddamn movie right! Holy fuck, I think this is gonna rock! They got Jim Rhodes in there! We could be getting War Machine either in this flick or the next just 'cause he's there! And it's vaguely riffing off the whole Armor Wars idea. That was the best damn story arc I've read in Iron Man, and one of the best I've read anywhere. And I take back my concerns about the main character. This guy *is* Stark. And my dad's gonna love this flick. Tony kills when need be. And oh yeah. They played the song. THE song. Final Fantasy VII - Advent Children I'm getting even though I never played the game 'cause I saw part of it at the PX (one of the sales dudes must've set it up to show off the tvs), and it was nifty.
