I'll just go as a zombie for Halloween. I have the dark circles under my eyes already. Or maybe I'll go as Samara from the Ring. I've got the hair for it. Now I just need a white dress.

Sorry I haven't been writing much lately. But I really am tired and my procrastination coupled with the amount of work I have to do...not good. Plus, my story got blitzed at workshop today. Granted, it was an old story and I knew it wasn't good, but one of the students there...blegh. At least the professor has been good to me, but geez...even he recognized that I'm not happy writing "literary" fiction and happier writing young adult teen stuff. I'm glad I have him for a prof, I wouldn't have survived otherwise, but some of the other students have such a chip on their shoulder about writing quality work, but then when you see how many books are out there and how few are read... The literary fiction and poetry doesn't have nearly the circulation of "pop" fiction, and I love just writing fun stuff. I think I'll have more fun turning away from the university line material and just concentrating on entertaining stories. It kinda feels bad, like I'm saying I'm not good enough for the sophisticated material, but then again I've seen what is going as sophisticated material, and I can't stand it. It's sooo boring.

Fuck. I'm gonna turn into a hack, I just know it. Or worse, a wannabe hack. My only consolation is that us old maid hacks are allowed to own a shitload of cats. In fact, it's mandatory.

Anyone wanna help feed the cats? :) KC
