It's strange. Years ago, when I put my first few fanfics online, my website was a load of html crap and my fics weren't so hot, and yet I got plenty of reviews. Lots, actually.

And now, when my site is streamlined (more or less), my fics are waaay better and I'm out on more sites, I seem to get less reviews.

Now, either I suck (actually I swallow, but besides that, the sparse reviews I do get tell me I'm quite damned good) or else I'm noticing a new trend. There seem to be fewer reviews out there as a whole, and even fewer people whining about not updating unless they get a set amount of reviews first. Have the internet fic glory days passed, and we'll all return to our fragmented groups soon? Or are school, real life, jobs and the like simply worse than usual this season?

Fuck. When are they gonna start selling the candy canes? I need one. :( KC
