creepypasta

Your new apartment is perfect, except for the bathroom. Black mildew stains the corners, cracks, and crevices of the tile. You break out the cleaner and brush, and go to work. No matter how much you scrub, however, you just can't seem to make a difference. For a second after you rinse off the suds, you think that there even seems to be more mildew than when you started.

Frustrated, you decide to give up for the time being, at least until you can get some more potent cleaner. You turn to the sink to wash your hands -- and that's when you first notice the black mildew stains around your fingernails.

*shudder*
I'll admit to being a bit of an OCD clean freak.
I took several tropical medicine/microbiology classes - enough that I firmly believe fungi are scary. They aren't bacteria, they aren't animal, they aren't plants ... they're ... different.
*quakes in fear and then runs off to scrub hands*

I love your creepies.

Don't get ringworm then. :S I'd fear for your sanity a little.

Eeep! No, I would not appreciate that experience at all. Though, the cutaneous infections I can kind of deal with. The subcutaneous ... the pictures ... don't look (lymphocutaneous sporotrichosis). The systemic ones, well, you're in trouble. A lot is know about viral and bacterial pathogenesis ... not so much on fungi. We have a lot of antibacterials ... We have very few antifungals. And the ones we do have tend to have toxic side effects (fungal cells, like mammalian are both eukaryotic).
Thanks. Now I'm really freaked out again. Did I mention how much I enjoyed these classes? ^_^

Ringworm ain't that bad, really. Its not as if you're like leaking anything. Its just this round rash on your skin that kinda sits there looking really odd. O_o;

Remember to breathe.

And you don't want to know what happened when we got to the foodborne illnesses....

That is when I break out the industrial solvent.

Yes I have some and no it's NOT for cleaning.

Anyway the warning label says it can eat flesh.

I'm gona try my hand at some creepy.

Me, Steve and Ive buy a house together. Together we can cut costs and we were sick of idiot apartment managers.

After moving the boxes in Ive choses to use the bathroom only moments later running out saying there is a ghost.
I laugh and Steve smiles. It's one of her little pranks but we humor her.
First I look in and there is a ghost
"Get out..." it yells.
You'd think after watching so many horror movies you'd be unaffected by a ghost yelling that but it runs a chill down my spine.

Steve follows in and the ghost yells even louder.

Then Steve turns to me with an insane look
"Leave this to me"

and as I leave the ghost is yelling "PLEASE STAY"
but not for long.
