This won't make sense but to two people, but I've come to a realization.

Of the friends I chat with, I'm the blunt, occasional caps cruising, trollish absolutely insensitive, arrogant and egotistical bastard. Because they're the most frustratingly diplomatic, overly concerned with what others think, barely any ego to keep their insecurities at bay nice people.

Sometimes I wanna protect them from the world, and sometimes I want to shake them like maracas.

I think both of those intentions need to be in balance for a good friendship.

I think I sometimes lean towards the maracas, but fortunately I don't have to actually do it that often.

LOL, sorry to sound like a know-it-all.

If a person if self-defacing and etc then they have barely in any I.D and they have a huge super-ego. The ego (which we all know of) balances the two out so someone is not completely selfish or completely selfless.

I.D = I want.
Ego = Balancing force
Super Ego = What others want

Huh, and I thought it was the other way around. Id is the animal base cravings, ego was the knowledge of one's self, and super ego was ethics and stuff. ...okay, maybe that's the same thing LOL.
